Rune Terminal — user guide

Phone cockpit shell inside Void Walker (family / lifetime). No separate Termux app.

1. Open Rune

• Void Walker → Rune Term tab
• Wait for rune$
• One command per Enter — wait for output before the next

2. Health check

vw doctor

Checks tools, SSH key, and mesh. A rsync WARNING is normal on Windows PCs (file copy still works with scp).

3. Ways to connect (pick the path)

• Interactive SSH — full remote shell to hosts you own
• Host profiles — vw hosts then vw ssh <alias>
• LAN or mesh — same Wi‑Fi, or Tailscale for cellular / hotels
• File transfer — vw put / vw get (scp)
• Mosh (optional) — better on flaky links if the remote has mosh-server (Linux/Pi/WSL). Windows OpenSSH alone → use SSH
• Cockpit health — vw doctor · vw control ping / sessions
• On-device only — packages and local tools with no remote host
• Multi-session — S1 / S2 tabs; prefer one session daily

4. Connect to your PC (example)

With Tailscale or same Wi‑Fi, and SSH enabled on your computer:

vw hosts
vw ssh atlasrune
exit

Aliases often include atlasrune, atlas, hub, pc, forge. In-app Engine → How-to has mesh setup.

5. Files phone ↔ PC

vw put ./note.txt atlasrune:Desktop/
vw get atlasrune:Desktop/file.txt .
vw files help

6. Optional mosh

vw mosh setup
vw mosh help
vw mosh <alias>

Needs mosh-server on the remote. Daily Windows desk path is usually still vw ssh.

7. Armor from the shell

vw status
vw cover
vw disarm
vw void
vw smart on
vw archangel list
vw shield status
vw help

8. Sessions

• New — another shell tab (max 6)
• S1 / S2 — switch tabs
• ✕ — close active tab (returns to an older one, usually S1)
• Daily use: one session keeps the phone lighter

9. Tips

• ESC key row: Esc, Ctrl, arrows, page keys
• Paste sends clipboard into the draft line
• PC must stay on for remote SSH / mesh work
• This is the full family app, not the Play lite build
